screen capture software

Can anyone recommend a good screen capture software.
I'm looking to do a screen capture of a customer website and put it on a sign.
So I need something that can capture at a good resolution and won't break the bank.

Thanks JT

All the operating systems have screen capture abilities. As for resolution... well it'll be a screen resolution at best. If you can zoom in to the website, then you could do multiple captures to stitch together later.

I thought that was just for sending LOW RES pictures to customers for proofs. The pudding I'm using I'd NEVER use for a screen capture program...maybe it's got another function that I'm missing though. I'll have to research this tomorrow. You got my wheels spinning.

alt+print screen and then run it through a blow up program. Still won't be high res but it never will be. You can't polish a turd.

Well actually you can. Myth Busters proved that one. :rock-n-roll:

ultrasnap is an awesome program for freeware (mediachance.com) ...but as others have said... screen resolution is all any snapshot program is designed for & not the right tool for large format printing...

The client should provide source files from the creation of the website.

I never thought of the screen resolution problem.
I think I'll need to find another way.

Isign probably has the best solution, but you know how that's going to go.

Thanks all
