secondary tank not filling (varnish) CET FK512 ...work around?

our varnish secondary tank light won't show "full". it's run for 5 minutes with no result.

we have a spare pump on delivery but we need a quick work around.

can a head on a CET FK512Z (16 head) be turned off in the firmware to allow us to get printing? we've got a lot of crucial stuff that has to go
out today.

update. i've just been informed that if i don't get a sample for a large order over
nighted, we have a big problem. even bad ideas are much appreciated.

You you "fill" the secondary tank from a syringe?

no the tank has a pump that fills it, then the head runs off the secondary. someone must have gotten back with my operator. he said he was to just unplug the level sensor. looks like we are good until we can diagnose it further.
