seeklogo stole my design.

A while back Gino sent me a link to one of my designs on seeklogo.com. I've since tried to contact them on 3 different occasions. I haven't heard back from them once. I can't find any other contact information other then the info@seeklogo.com provided on their site. I've been real nice, shown proof that the design is ours, and simply asked them to remove it. Nothing more, nothing less. I just wish someone would get back to us.

Has anyone else had experience with this company or maybe companies like this? If so how can I get through to them? and what did you do or say?

Are they trying to sell your logo?......Or just displaying it?.....If they are just displaying it, you may not have claim under "fair use"....Is the server even if the USA?.....If it is in an Eastern Block country, you may be out of luck even if you have a claim...Good luck....

How did they get a hold of your design? is it posted at your website where someone could have traced it? Did you compare nodes to see if it is an exact match?

At one time botw was owned by some Russian company so pursuing them was quite difficult as their copyright laws are much different than our countries'. Unless you were some heavyweight like Harley or NFL

They aren't selling it, It is available to download for free.:banghead: But No one ever gave them permission to trace and post the design on their site.

And it is definitely traced. And kind of a crappy trace job too. Heck, I might even feel a bit better about it if they did a decent job tracing it.:Big Laugh

My guess is they got it off our site. And really I'm not asking for much, I just want them to remove it.

Interesting....they've got my shop logo on there, too. I'm assuming they got mine from Brands of the World. You're is a whole different story, though, that's actively going out to steal artwork.

Awesome! Good for you Joe. It's all so ridiculous. We don't even post photos of our work on our site anymore because other local companies were posting them and claiming the work.

Joe... I hate to tell you this, but I found it on another site, also. I'll try to find it again for you.

Isn't that just great?

yeah, I love explaining to potential clients why we don't have an online portfolio. It just makes my point about the other guys without having to say a word and I offer to send them referrals and samples of our work privately. I look all the more professional. That's the ones I get to talk to though. People coming across our website don't get that same explanation. But I have considered putting some jargon to that affect on the site.

Yeah I just recently found it on Brands of the world. I'll be contacting them next. It's the exact same crappy trace job. But at least they are giving us credit for the design.
