I can only think it is cheap and it is somewhat rigid is why they ask for it.

I personally dislike even touching it as it damages so easily.

Do many of you offer it for signage and digital? Maybe I should give it another try?

The reason people ask for foamboard is it more widely known than PVC board, we have a rack with different materials that people can hold / feel before they make a purchase.
So when someone asks for foamboard we hand them a piece then a piece of the PVC board and 99% of the time they got with the PVC board once they see the durability difference.

with that it is always a good idea to have a board of it on hand at there are some people who will take nothing else

I don't cary it ... It's to easy to damage. I'll buy it if needed but most of my customers will go for either Syntra (Komatex or whatever else) or if they want something thick, Gatorboard.

We only sell foam pvc(Komatex). Only time we've used the other stuff is when we did work for another shop and they brought it.

we flatbed print foamcore by the hundreds. We simply let our customer know the durability of it, and sell the product. Saying it damages easily is silly.

Being on an island we have a lot of hotel / conference clients and we constantly get orders for this. Mostly for presentation slides, way-finding notifications for easels or standees. Theres a lot of things you can do with it, since it so light and easy to work with when cutting.

I guess it depends on your market. All of these signs will end up in the trash sooner or later, sometimes it can be sooner than later.

Call me silly, but foamcore damages easily. Try dropping it on edge or or mistreat it in any way and it dents, creases & folds.
