seperate contour cut results in no cuts being sent?

Flexi is such an odd program in many respects..... Once you put a contour cut on a graphic the only way you can make changes to any part of that graphic is to seperate the contour cut.

Once you have done that and made the change ( colour in this instance) you marquee everything and rip and print and the cut information refuses to be sent.
It's sort of like if one part of the graphic is grouped it will refuse to send that portion out if you marquee the entire graphic and rip it.

I think you have to actually select all to be able to send it all out at once, which is something I just never remember to do

This results in lots of errors in print from something in the programs design that makes no logical sense.....

I am a prisoner of the program now i suppose after 5 years of dealing with it's strange ways....

Me either but then again adding the contour cut has always been the very last step prior to rip and print for me so I've never really needed to "separate" the contour cut.

If I need to manipulate the graphic after adding contour cut, I just clear the contour cut completely first. Make my changes, then add the contour cut again from scratch.
I always make sure it's the last thing I do prior to printing.
Then (most of the time) I remember to double check the settings of outline/inline, holes/no holes.
Sometimes the softwre doesn't agree with the way your habits are formed.
It may take some changing on your part to make it work the most effectively.

It's version 7.... and yes generally it is the last thing i do. I have also caught the program refusing to send out grouped graphics along with ungrouped graphics.....
So for instance you have a file and you import new graphics to add to the file and lets say you want to centre the new graphic to the old, you would group it then centre it.
You better ungroup it before you rip it or it wont send the grouped info if you are simply marqueeing the graphic before ripping....

Now that I have read what I wrote I wonder if everything would be sent if I unclicked everything then ripped it? hmmmm...worth a try

All you have to do is open the design editor, select the second tab on top, objects.
Then you can expand the items in your drawing.
pick it and it will highlight in the design editor then you can expand select the shadow and change the color of that.
Hope this helps
