you can change your own head, it's not for everyone.
if you tend to be hands on can follow instructions & are patient, you can get your questions answered, this site will provide a lot of support.

if you have never done anything like this, and don't crave a project, i am sure you will get several referrals for a reliable tech from your area

you will get a lot of respones, i think, during the week. not that many of us respond on weekends

If it's been sitting for 2 years, it's probably not worth it unless you can do the work yourself and don't easily get frustrated. We generally turn away that kind of work anymore.
