Setting til (total ink limit)

Tell me if I am wrong but to set the total ink limit, I need to evaluate the print to check for bleed, contamination and how wet it is while looking along the lines where the is no visible or very little change.

Is this right?

I'm trying to establish the TIL in Onyx. See attached image.

almost impossible to tell by photo.

When ever the ink bleeds, is still wet or doesn't go any darker. is your limit.
eco solvant and latex should be easy to set ink limits as ink not drying and bleed are common indications.
UV inks has no indications and it's almost guesswork.

Sorry for the late reply, had a busy couple of weeks.

I'm back on the profile trail but one thing I am unsure of is, once you've made the profile, how do you set your media to use it?

If you edit your Quick-Set setting, under colour management, what do you use?

I currently have mine set to:

CMYK Image: CoatedFogra39 - Perceptual
CMYK Vector: CoatedFogra39 - Relative Colorimetric

RGB Image: AdobeRGB1998- Perceptual
RGB Vector: AdobeRGB1998- Relative Colorimetric

Then the output profile: Is this where I add my new profile?
