Setup Profiles for Mutoh + Banding issues

Hello,

New member here, been a graphic designer for 10+ years my specialty is large format. I just started at a new company and I have some questions as I am now in charge of some expensive equipment as well as the graphics.

We have 2 Mutohs. First Mutoh is a Valuejet 1614 the other is a 1604.

We also have a Scitex FB950 as well as a couple other flatbeds.

We are running Onyx Production House 7.

My question is how do I go about setting up custom profiles? I have looked on the net, even read the downloaded PDF from Onyx but I seem to only find ways to use the default profiles that Onyx uses through their software. I updated recently but that was all I could do.

Also, I found this forum because our Mutoh's have some banding issues. Is their a comprehensive checklist or something of the sort to go through to trouble shoot that?

ProductionHouse 7 is fully capable of profiling each of the printers that you mention. You will also need a supported spectrophotometer to read the test swatches (X-rite or Barbieri or similar).
