ShopBot Alpha Cutting 1/4" Aluminum

We recently purchased this machine used and it works ok Just testing different materials and bits

I have a base SB with a Chinese spindle, 3Kw. With a 1/4" Onsrud single spiral I've cut (slowly and carefully) 1-1/2" aluminum stock for a special project. A mister or someone standing there with a sprayer full of lubricant (like me), slower feeds and small bites and it does pretty well.
