The other week the steel belt snapped in half on my VJ1614. I called Fellers and Mutoh to see who they'd recommend for service work. I called that company (I won't mention their name) and they sent a guy to my place that day to "assess" the situation. I was very displeased with this person and his competency. He had told me he had never worked on my Mutoh model before but had seen one in Arizona 5 years ago. He also proceeded to tell me that I needed to order the parts and when they came in he would install them. Back to scramble mode now.....
I was searching for the steel belt on-line and remembered this forum had some Mutoh postings so I wanted to see if there were any in regards to steel belts.....that's when I discovered Solvent Inject/Signage Specialists. A bonus was they're located in Denver and I'm in Colorado too.
A quick phone call, good conversation and an appointment was scheduled for Monday early afternoon (the steel belt had to be ordered by them and shipped to my place). Jordan arrived and didn't need to consult with a manual to figure out what to do (like the last guy from that "recommended" company). He changed the belt out and the maintenance station, tested the printer and was on his way in no time. My printer was back up and running.....basically only down a day (I wasn't planning on working that weekend anyways)!!!
Jordan knows his business and equipment.....I'll definitely be calling on them (him) again for any future maintenance. They also sell equipment and supplies....I'll be calling on them also for a printer upgrade in the future.
