Hello, I was wondering if any one here bought Shutterstock images and put them on a product to sell. I know they have a bunch of legal stuff you have to accept but not sure if this would affect me, I looking to put an image on a product to sell at a retail store.

Yes, yes it does affect you. That's exactly what all that 'legal stuff' is there for.

They limit you to 500,000 uses for images on a standard license. So if you sell 500,001 you have broken your contract. Here are the license terms.

Can always check Dreamstime.com. You can buy an unlimited license there.

another thing to consider is that if you're putting a picture on a product, you should probably find an image that has not been used by anyone else and secure an exclusive use agreement... it'd be more than the standard license, but you then avoid the chance of anyone recognizing the pic in the past or the future as used by someone else. It might also just be better to hire a photog or set up a shoot yourself and get an image that way.
