Sign world 2015

I have been looking at the ussc.org site thinking about sign world this December.

We say it every year that it's getting smaller, and the list of scheduled vendors seems to be shrinking. Also proof that attendance is down is they seem to be recycling photos from past years (the only reason I know is I am in one of them, talking to Frances Lansetti about the gilding process, and that was 2 years ago ).

Has anyone seen a list of seminars as of yet? I'm on the fence about going, and if they have a class that peaks my interest, that may be the deciding factor.

Nothing as of yet. Kinda sad... when you type Sign World 2015 into google, the first thing on googles list is the ISA 2015 show.

Went last year... swore I'd never go again

1/2 day was all that was needed to see everything.

For years, I went every year, religiously. It hasn't been worth it for over 5 hears. The vendors have cut way back and some of them even double up to cut costs. The show is about a 1/3 of what it was years ago. I could barely get through the whole floor portion in a whole day, now I'm through it in 2 hours or so.

Never went to the seminars. I had friends presenting them, but I was too cheap to go )))

Then to make matters worse, the casinos are junk anymore. Makes the whole trip a joke.

The only thing worth going there for is to go to the White House and pick up sandwiches. They've got to be the best on the planet.

I used to live in that neck of the woods. It would be great to go to the show and visit family and friends at the same time. But, I am going that way later that month for the holidays. No sense in going to NJ twice if the show isn't worth it.

I think the only reason I would go at this point is to spend time in the bull pen. I counted 42 vendors, so that will take an hour, considering people are not going to stop at every booth....

I wouldnt waste my time. Went to one sign show and it was interesting but worthless

I'm a local so I go every year. I guess going depends on what you are looking to get out of it. I go because I want to speak with the vendors to build a relationship with them. Everyone buys on price these days. And that works up until there is a problem with an application and or product failure. It helps to have your reseller in your corner when you have a problem with a manufacturer.
I think everyone expects to go to these shows and see new mindblowing products...I think thats why older shows were better...because technology was growing the industry and everything was exciting.
You should have a purpose for going. And leaving work early should not be that purpose.
