Try the local tech college. I know what yer thinkin', but I sat next to some super talented individuals during class. Although I am no artist, just a graphic manipulator. A couple were so good it made me want to give up.
One girl I sat next to would knock out super detailed drawings with a No.2 pencil. Looked like a photo. She really made me question what the heck I was doing back in school.
The instructors will be able to clue you to who has real talent. In fact if you want, pm me and I will give you the contact info for my school.
