Sofia Script Kerning Check

Could use some critique on the kerning. Probably over thinking it but would like outside opinions on this one.

The image on top is without adjustment.

J hill, for sure on needing to adjust it. I've been staring at my kerned version too long :omg: Thanks for the help everyone!

Bottom corrected but I would also consider some alternatives. Upper case I scripts can sometimes make a particular word look awkward or unnatural to read. Sophia is a beautiful script for certain words but you it's not a cure all for every word.

If you have several scripts in your font library, go to http://wordmark.it/ and type in your word and look at several others in case you find one better suited to your design.

I agree with the "I" being weird. I'd find a better "I"

As for kerning... I'm not too keen on the extra space between the "D" and the "U" - And the "S" and "T" could breath a little better. That would mean that you might need to add a swoosh on the "S" to visually connect, so it won't inadvertently look like two separate words.

It's better to have two hands than one glove.

Exactly so. "Industries" in this script isn't working.

Thank you for the alternatives. The advice given here is what I was looking for. Biker Scout your example has the modifications that make it flow.
I will use the link above, and see the other options as well. :thumb:

Here's several without any major tweaking. Some could be made to work if you play with them.
