Hi I’m currently running myob for our sign business but I need something better that can create delivery dockets etc As that seems to be so time consuming. Also something to manage our purchase orders and be more efficient. I’m in Western Australia if that helps

Curiously, if you were to search for the word “docket” along with some existing and popular sign shop solutions, the results might fail as it does when I search for the same.

Delivery dockets are most often generated from data already generated upstream from customer’s contact info and order management software. So, maybe you’re really looking for something more comprehensive than just dockets and purchase orders. In any case, contact me using the forum’s Conversation feature as I’m a merchant member here and offer solutions for shops like yours.

Thankyou I will get in touch. I don’t need anything to generate more sales as we are busy enough just need something to manage production work flow etc

Trying to gauge what you're after.

Sounds like you're looking for an all in 1 solution? production system, invoicing, etc?
or want to have seperate software for each that can talk to eachother?

Are you taking orders from an ecommerce site? or all email?

We have 4 main mining clients and so our purchase orders just come from them. Yep I’m looking for an all in 1 or something with an add on. I’ve just looked into Xero as an a option

You must try ERPNext. It is all in one solution. I have got it customized as per my signage business. Managing Job work step by step, job progress updating to customer at each step, invoicing, tax compliance as per country rules, all is available. After login, My B2b customers upload their files and it is directly transferred to operator for printing. After printing job automatically switch for lamination (if opted by customer). Further it is transferred for other process if any. Delivery is also recorded. Job role to each staff can be assigned and software works accordingly.

How much customisation did this take? Are you running on a cloud/ hosted service or self hosted ?

Didn't think anyone would run ERPNext for print.

I have been looking in to customizing Frappe Open Source apps as a front end for my automation. Are you happy with your experience with this software? I've heard mixed reviews, but most of the negatives are from people who can't or wont code themselves.

What??!?! That's already a "low/no code" environment as it is (something that I'm not a fan of due to it's limitations). Can't get any easier compared to that.

Now, with the way that web and even python (not much of a fan of python, but it has it's uses), frameworks to bolt this stuff on abound a plenty, using another ecosystem is almost not needed, unless just really need that 3rd party support, which I can understand.
