Software to view vector files in bulk?

Someone once told me of a software which made it easy to view vector files from a disc in bulk(that I no longer have the book to). Without having to open each file individually.

Does anyone know of such a software or program?

if on a mac, Finder will render previews as the icon, just open the folder and set the icon size to the largest and scroll through them.

Not necessarily on Bridge. If you saved them yourself yes. But i have some older files in clipart form that I did not create so the preview was never created and thus no preview is possible

You should write an action to open and resave all of those with Illustrator, which would generate thumbnails (I believe...).

Extensis Portfolio is made for the purpose and allows thumbnailing of pretty much any format you have. It does, however, require you to take the time to feed all files in first which can be time consuming.

As a note most agencies and corps that use extensis portfolio pay one person who's sole responsibility is digital asset management, not something a lot of sign shops can afford. It's still okay in the hands of a team without someone like that but it's much, much less useful.
