Solutions for scratched material due to being rolled up

Another thread from me here.. I have 99 problems

so we cut often and orders are increasing, but with our gx24 I have to man the machine and follow the blade with my fingers as otherwise it will scratch the material due to it being raised in the middle. A third pinch roller would really help!

mourn sp300v cuts just fine apart from when we get to those thicker materials ie. 3m architectural stuff.

wondering if there’s a less labour intensive way to get around this. Can show pics if needed :)

Several members here have recommended attaching a foam cleaning swab to the carriage head. Set it so it drags on the material keeping it pushed down while the knife is moving back and forth.
Have not tried it myself but seems like it should work.
