i am having the same trouble printing the water slide material in my Roland VP 540.
you say you had some luck spraying with "CAB" first. What is "CAB"?
any help would be appreciated.

stands for cellulose acetate buty-something or other. a clear acrylic non-yellowing resin for cabinet work (sherwin williams CAB acrylic) i think it is in common Krylon clear spray cans... in the end, i really hated water slide. all of my tests just peeled off with ease weeks later.

Several years ago we did some testing and found that Mizpah (http://mizpah.en.ec21.com/) and Tullis Russel had products that worked (http://www.tullisrussell.com/our-products/transfer-technology/ceramic-and-glass.html). It has been a long time, so I can't guarantee that either is still available, but either is worth checking.
