Crap..
(is that an insult or a sudden realization of amazing quality work that proves to allstar that beauty is on the inside? You decide..)

Wow! Wraps that don't suck!

Nice work, clean, legible, and images used that make sense. Must have just been "lucky" to have customers that "wanted" exactly that, huh?

No offense, but as a former skateboarder.. How does that print hold up on the underside of a skateboard?? Seems that the first time you grind it, the whole print would peel and then need removed???

Thansk for the comments guys. I was signed up on this site about 2 years ago but I guess from not posting much it was deleted and so here I am again.

Thanks.
I think part of our job as designers is to show the customer whats best for them. A plumber is not going to know what will be the most effective layout for his vehicle wrap. he will bring ideas to the table but We explain why somethings should or shouldnt be. BUT in a few occasions we do exactly what they ask, even if its going to look like a cluster F. After all they are the ones paying for it.Here is a sample of a customer that got exactly what he asked for. I tried to lead him the right path but didnt budge

None taken, I used to skate myself. These are mainley used for display. Custom boards are great items to give out and shows/concerts like these were.

Tell me more about the "in-house" photo for the Hubcap Man job(s).
We hired a local model from Modelmayhem and made the finished shot by combining a shot of the box inside w/o model using 2 strobes. Later taking a picture of the model in place. combining the 2 images resulted in a well lit background without model shadow.

Wait I thought photoshop was just for effects and stuff?
ahah
Thats what most signmakers that started with just using vectors think.
Without Photoshop we couldnt do what we do on a daily
Here is a sample of a photoshop contest entry I submitted and won 1st place.

I like 99% of it.
Almost 100% are better than most wraps I've seen. And I am not a wrap lover.
While a lot of it is not my taste, I can see where it appeals to a target audience or client.
I like the thought you put into these and also the fact that most are quite legible.
Your work is refreshingly free of the "white glow" effect used by many people to try and hide poor contrast.
I am not seeing any squishing/stretching of fonts.
The only one I do not care for is the use of the script in the Heelz on Wheelz.
My fave is the Big Cats one.
I also think it's clever that the font choice for "Printed Signs" reads like Painted Signs.
Was that on purpose?
Love....Jill

Jill I see what you are saying, there is a step in the door frame there which I think is causing it to look like that. from head on ill looks fine.

I do know what you mean with the infamous "white glow", to me that seems like a quick way out of actually putting some thought into the design.
Stretching lettering, logos and images are one of my MAIN PEEVES outside of horrible Cropping.

As for the Heels script, You're in luck, It was hand drawn so you'll never see it used again, lol

The Big car is one of my Favs also mainly because of what those people do for those aminals. Every year we pick a non profit company and give them a free wrap. This was the one for 07.
