Someone please tell me why

Our SC-545 is suddenly cutting the material off after printing, and I have all job properties and default settings set to NOT cut. What am I missing? There's no settings on the printer so I am stumped.

I assume you are using VersaWorks, right?

Double check the "printer controls" tab. Look at the "general" section. Make sure that "Cut sheet after Output" is not checked.

That is the only thing I can think of besides, maybe your mogwai have gotten wet some how? Or you have a ghost in your machine...

No this is with Flexi. And I finally found it...it is buried in the Driver Options for cutting in the Job Properties. I don't even know how that got clicked on, as I have never set that before. So yes. Ghost.

Apparently I didn't find it. I did for the last job I printed, and the next job did the same thing. SOMETHING is causing this to cut after printing. Not only that, it is rewinding itself BACK to the beginning of the roll, and THEN cutting. So it prints, does the contour cut, rewinds to beginning, and slices off anything that was preceding the print. And I have set the Default job properties to 1)advance after print, 2)advance after plot, and 3) NOT cut media after all is done.
WTH is going on?
