I recently came across a bunch of Signs of the Times magazines from the mid 50's to early 60's. These mags are full of history, designs, fonts for sign painters, etc.
The billboard ads and neon signs from the era are inspiring.
When I get a chance I'll post some pics of the books and some content.
Even though technology has moved the sign business drastically, some things haven't changed at all or should I say.."wow, I didn't know they had that back then!"
