SP-300 draining ink

I have an SP-300 that completely cleared my yellow and magenta cartridges in 1 week. I only printed roughly about 2 hours worth of stuff within the week. It was always left on and never any powerful cleanings. When I emptied the drain bottle it had a solid 3 inches of magenta sitting on the top and then came the blackish/greenish color ink. Any body have any ideas?

If the captop filters ever swell up and touch the heads it can create a syphon and drain that color. See if they look bumped up so much that they might touch the heads when parked.
