the I is simply an updated version from the V they improved ink usage with the I model and as far as I know both the I and V use a cable system instead of a belt both are 4 color cmyk with duel print heads
Can someone explain the difference between a SP300 V AND SP 300 I ?

The SP300i is a reduced VP300i with 2 instead of 4 heads. The main differences of the i to the v are

  • New, compact design
  • Ethernet instead of USB
  • Movement of the Capping unit mechanical, not motor driven anymore
  • Intelligent Pass to reduce Banding
  • Print Head Carriage is belt driven instead of wire driven
  • Environment match is processed everytime when loading Media, no need to start it manually
  • Ink tubes have a larger diameter, ink damper have higher volume
  • Chip-cpntrolled ink cartridges
  • As far as I remember more than 2 Pinch rollers possible

  • a lot of additional new details like a new menu structure, reduced buttons on the keyboard and so on
