Sp 300v after head soak problems

Morph1

Print all
Hey all,
I just soaked the heads over night with cleaning solution and the next day tried to print,
well nothing was printing..., the head moved left and right but did not lay any ink...
After syringe ink pull through the heads I started getting some print but it was spotty, well I did ran more auto clean cycles
and eventually started to get all colors printing.
So I ran a photo image print with a random scenery just as a test and I noticed lots of white tinny dots in the printed image,
I ran more auto cleaning and the dots started to disappear and every time I ran a test I started to get consistent fair print but still with small
imperfections... Well eventually after more cleaning the problem went away and I got result printing that image.
Today I noticed when I printed green background image I started to get like a zebra pattern of green, where one swipe looks light green
another swipe looks darker and it repeats like that throughout the whole image...
Here is a pic of the greens alternating while printing.
Does anyone have any idea, my print test looks good, very little nozzle deflections in black only...
The rest seams good... my printer prior head soak was working perfect except I wanted to see if I could fix the deflected nozzles in black
by giving it a good head soak...
Anyone ?

Any help would be appreciated

thanks !

How did you soak the heads? I bet they were not sealed, the cleaner evaporated and the heads dried right out.

When did you last change the caps?

What does the test print look like?

I mentioned , the test print looks great except for a few deflected nozzles in black only...,
The head was soaked by pinching off the capping station lines filling up the cleaning solution and parking the head back onto capping station sealed...
Head dried out ? lol I already mentioned that my print came out good printing well except for the odd pattern showing in the image.
The cleaning solution was still there in the caps when I checked in the morning and the heads were fully sealed ...
I check the caps at least once every 2 - 3 weeks and they are fine sealing tight, maintenance on the machine is done all the time.

any other thoughts ?

thanks !

Actually you said " just soaked the heads over night with cleaning solution and the next day tried to print,

It might be your dampers. I have had it where the damper was clogged, but allowed enough ink to do a good test print. Once I started printing the damper didn't allow enough flow and caused the sort of thing you are seeing. Try printing blocks of c, y,m,k about 6"x 28" and see if you notice anything on one particular head. I also was getting a bit of over spray from that head as well.

I still think something is out with your caps from the way your head soak went.

One other thing comes to mind... The hoses from the cap joint to the pump, and from the pump to the drain bottle. They can get clogged and
the pump can't create a good draw.

I think Im gonna change the caps in the capping station and the dampers ,
I also noticed i get a halo spray around magenta print , could that be the head going bad ?
I cleaned the encoder strip as well and that did not help...
What else can i do in this case ?

Thanks.
