SP-300V Cutting issue

If this is mentioned somewhere else I apologize in advance (I wasn't able to find it). Recently the SP-300V has been cutting off to the bottom right a bit more than it should leaving exposed white vinyl (see attached pic). I've looked through the manual and the instructions on adjusting the blade offset (if that's what it is) aren't very detailed. Any help would be appreciated. I stuck a letter "N" that has been printed/cut onto some black vinyl to show what its been doing (see attached). Thanks!

My 540V was all over the place a while ago. Found I couldn't do the needed calibrations because the rear Paper Interrupt sensor went bad. The sensor has absolutely nothing to do with cut quality, but if it burned out you can't do the necessary calibrations to help cutting.

Neat how manufacturers do that to ya isn't it?

With the 540v there are some calibrations in service mode. If I was cutting out solid letters I would overprint some bleed... even a perfectly aligned unit can be off a bit.

THIS^^^^

We learned the "color blob" method years ago to prevent any white showing on cuts. Much better to spend a few cents extra on ink than having to redo the job.

Sounds like over printing may be the best solution as this only seems to happen on smaller designs. Is this a setting on the printer? Or do you set it up when you're laying out the design?

Set up the "color blobs" when doing the layout. Then we set the CutContour stroke over the "color blobs". We do a final check in VW just to make sure where things are landing. Works a treat.
