First, let me explain what got me into this mess. The long carriage cable folded onto itself causing the machine to jam. This has happened a few times in the past without any major issues. This time it really caused some issues.
I decided to replace the cable and the plastic slide/guides along with the encoder strip. Now I am getting one error after another. Every time I try and fix one error a different one pops up. I do have a service manual so I'm not shooting in the dark.
Error after error, I just so happened to notice my display shows Roland SP-??? while I'm pretty sure it used to say SP-300V. So then I was wondering if that could possibly be causing a problem.
After replacing everything I have gotten the following errors:
105
0080
0010
0101
Also have seen "Unrecoverable Limit Sensor" on the display after doing the Limit Intialization. As stated above it seems anytime I try to track down one error a new one pops up. Scan motor appears to be functioning fine since it moves all the way across the machine.
Any input would be appreciated.
