SP 300v Losing Connection

Seems like every other time I run a print my printer stops mid cycle (says now processing on screen) and just pauses the print...No matter now long you wait it wont restart? It don't happen every time, but it has ruined a few very long prints...On versaworks the print status will be locked to at what ever % that its done printing? Any ideas what the problem could be? It like its losing connection? Its a usb A to a usb B cable...

When this happens I reboot the computer. That usually solves the problem. On one occasion I had to reinstall versa works.
