sp-540v Cut lines not connecting

The cutting feature is working fine except for not connecting where the blade started the cut. Lets sayit cuts the letter A. It satrts at one point and ends up somewhat short to finish the cut line around the letter. On most of these cuts the problem is worse or better depending on the size of the graphic. Ive had it miss its connecting cut as much as 1/4 inch on bigger full size graphics.

I choose environmental match before I print/cut and the problem persists.

Has anyone had this problem or could help me find a thread covering this. It seems to me this issue wouldnt be common to an expensive printer like this. The print cut feature is by far the one that should be tight and tolerance.

My father has had one incident where he selected cut sheet with the long hold down clips attatched and it seemed catastrophic. I think this is when the problem started but I cannot be sure.

What is my best course of action? He seems to think it needs a new blade but Im afraid its deeper than that. Thanks a bunch

Hey thats a good point. I looked and there are some. Not too awful bad but noticeable in one spot.
Could that happen if the pressure is up to high for a thin material like heat transfer?
