Sp300 vs SP 300i

Hey all.

I have a Roland SP 300i and i am very happy with its preformance for what i am doing.

A friend of mine is also thinking of buying a Versacamm but hes thinking af getting the older SP 300

Now to my question.
What is the difference between the older SP 300 and the newer SP 300i

From what i was told when buying my SPi was it's 50% faster and the quality is a tad better. Also, they don't have the pump problem like the regular ones had which is very common in the old ones.

Difference is software for ripping and speed.

I believe the SP-300 uses ColorRip software and the SP-300I uses Versaworks software.

You can upgrade the SP-300 with a key from Roland but the costs to do so are around $900.00 bucks.

I use my SP-300 with ColorRip with no problems at all and I like it.
