Hey guys, I have a little problem with my Sp300v.

I have search for two days on every forum and Google and no solution.
It looks like an ink starvation / banding / density drop (see pictures)

The problem is coming on the left side only. (when you are in front of the printer)

I have changed dampers, captops, drained lines, wipers, clean encoder.
manual cleaning & powerful clean
Changes profile,
change vinyl,
adjust bi-direction,
calibration
Verify pinch rollers
Pull ink through the head and caps with a syringe look good no clogged tubes

using roland ink

Test print look good !

Do it with every color no one in particular.

what should i look next ?

thanks

the problem seems to go away in uni-direction (or less intense) but now I have sort of ghost or overspray on print. (small amount but still)

I get into the service mode and print the fill pattern, you can see the magenta problem and color mixed with yellow

annnnnnd this is the ghost in unidirection, encoder strip maybe ?

I think it's time to replace the printhead, maybe another one too soon.
Anyway replace M cartridge first, next step swap 2 printheads. It helps to find the exact cause.

banding only on one side is odd. try turning the heat off (or print in service mode, no heat there) just to rule out if one side of the heaters aren't working as well as the other.

Given the overspray, and left-sidedness of the prints, i'd wonder about the long trailing cables having a wonky signal at certain bend points, or the ink lines bunching up and restricting flow (or have broken open, take off the covers and look for ink pools inside)

could that be your main data cable the one that rolls along x and connects to the head cart .....
just guessing here as you did a lot of maintenance that eliminates a lot of issues already...

little updates with the printer..

I called a tech and the only thing he said was about changing the heads and quotes me approx 1600$ cad each without travel and time.

soooo I have nothing to loose to rip it apart and clean everything.
re-cleaned everything but this time I cleaned the encoder strip with alcool and found some glue on clamp.

magic everything prints perfect and better than when I bought it.

got little bit of ink contamination between yellow and magenta but I'm on this.

thanks every one for the help, hope this thread helps someone in the future.
