SP540i Not laying down enough ink

    Everything is starting OK and getting washed out and light shortly after

    Time to change the dampers and o-rings. Check your cartridges to make sure they have ink in them as well. Sometimes it won't flag the machine and will be empty and pull back on the system.

    replaced dampers still doing the same thing? all new ink cartridges too

    here is what i'm getting solid color bars of c - m - y - k coming out very very light and inconsistent.

    With this additional info my guess is the caps are old. I would go to solventinkjet and buy some captops. https://www.solventinkjet.com/product-page/roland-cap-top Keep some extras on hand, they have a lifespan and surprisingly, changing them solves a lot of problems.
