Squeaking

I sometime get a squeaking sound at the begining of when the carriage starts to move left or right. It doesnt do it every time but randomly. Does anyone know what this is and how it can be fixed before it get worse.

I have heard mine doing it the very odd time. I run alcohol over the rails once a week and re oil, so I think it may be a vibration causing mine.

Make sure the Printer is level left to right and then front to back...had a similar prob recently, harmless but annoying squeek was due to a tweeked frame cause by un-even floor. the actuall squeeking was the flex belt spacers inside that the plumbing to the head rides in simply rubing a little against the back of the Head rail.

How old is the printer?

3 in 1 oil works great on the guide.
Just a dab will do ya'
