Can anybody help me with this issue. Starting point where my printer starts printing or cutting 4" is from the media end. I would like to change it to 1 inch so I will not waste media. Is there any way I can change this. I have try to find settings for this in Owner and Service manual but no luck. Thanks in advance

I would think that would be the rip that is doing that. There may be a default that sets it at 4" in. The printer has a advance feed after the print that can be set (at least in the older Rolands).

on my roland the default start point is set just after the pinch roller. you can either adjust this by setting the origin point with the arrow keys or by going into versa works and setting it there(if i remember rightly).

....once the media has finished initializing simply "slew" the rollstock back a couple inches with the appropriate key and set a new basepoint as the point of origin...

I have tried wirh versa and flexi and it always starts 4" inches from the begening of media. S I asume this is printer default. Even if I use base point it steel feeds the media about 4". I dont have idea how to change this in printer

In the old Rolands, in the menu, there is a "Page Margin" that can be set from 0 to 100mm. To give an idea 25mm is 1 inch so if it is set to 100 this would be your 4 inch feed before print.

Set it to 0 if you want no feed.
