Straight Vinyl + Curved glass = Arch

This just bug me, I haven't done much glass and looks like the designed needs curved up to look straight. Does everyone do this? Is there a formula to figure out how much you need to bend the image? I know this is probably a noob question but I just want to know if there is a way to do this without "guessing" all the time.
