Sublimation printers

I'm looking to upgrade my printer for sublimation.

I've been using the Epson wf30 printer. Plus side...cheep printer, ciss with 3rd party ink works well.

Now I've gone through my 2nd printer.

Sublimation is doing well.

What printer to go to from here?

Let me know what you're using and your results.

I guess I like the ciss way of doing things instead of being tied to a small, overpriced ink cartridge.

Thanks.

what size paper you want to use? Epson is no-brainer, stick with it if you want to go larger than 11x17, otherwise Ricoh will be your choice. and forget ciss - go with refillable carts, lees headache.

What is the Epson WF30 preventing you from producing?

Update

It's been awhile and I really should sum up what I did.

I bought another WF30. It worked well for a while and then turned to crap in the middle of a large job...

Everyone was bragging up the Ricoh printers and gel ink...so I bought the 3110.

No problems so far. Getting ready to start replacing ink carts.

Anybody have sources for refillable carts & ink?

I use the Bordeux inks in our wide format printers and it works well.

They don't have a gel ink specifically for Ricoh. Any comments or ideas?

Thanks

Ricoh is the better printer for the small formats. With the right profiles for your inks, it prints a whole lot better then the equivalent Epson printer.

Ricoh printers use only the gel ink. There are no other inks available (to my knowledge)
for the Ricoh printers.
