Substance Chrome and the new HP Latex machines, any updates on how to get it not to stick to the rear plenum

Hey guys, my 630w is still driving me nuts with the inconsistency while printing on the substance chrome. I know the backing paper is a bit slick, I did get a profile that was made by the HP guru in spain for 700 users device (at the cost of a roll of vinyl and shipping to spain). but it is still getting stuck on that back plenum. I have rigged up a grounding for the rear plenum and the roll and have adjusted humidity in the shop to 40-50% ( I noticed more issues below 30 and above 70). I have heard of people using an anti static tape or painters tape on that back plenum but I was waiting for a long term update and to see how hard that plenum is to pull. I have had that issue with a few other non metallic films as well but I had a great experience on my 315 with the substance material and have more customers but just can't get a consistent result right now.

ok, so I took some advice from Substance and took the plenum out and went to cover it in painters tape to prevent the static. But, my roll of painters tape only had about 14" on it so I grabbed some matte black oracal 651 and wrapped 36" of it (I only use 30" chrome), then ceramic coated it. just ran 6 jobs at almost 30 ft, no issues. Hopefully this is good long term, that chrome and their holographic is amazing stuff.

I love the SUBSTANCE media - but have not had any success with running the chrome media through a cutter - SUMMA just won't read registration marks - any tips? BTW, I run a 365 and am making football helmet decals, etc with the media.

When I issues running chrome, I got some translucent yellow tabs they sent to me. I put them over the sensor and it was able to read them. All they were was tranlucent yellow vinyl. Then you just need to adjust the setting in the setup on the cutter. I haven't done it in a while since I now run them on my Summa-F.

I had some success using this when I was running my Summa for cutting some metallics.

you have to do a sensor calibration on it by printing a black square on the chrome. one machine I still have the yellow transparent film on that Phil at Airmark sent me to cover the sensor but my other summa doesn't have that and does fine reading the marks.

Gotta ask, how do you like the 630w otherwise?
we do a lot of small run stuff. the 3" lead is awesome! I can load material and it prints 3-4" from the front of the vinyl. It has been a bit glitchy but that's all been flexi. the only other issue has been the white print head. I've had two warrantied but I think it was because I left them in instead of changing it to the dummy print head after using it. I know a couple other guys who said they haven't had issues with that if they take the printhead out and put it in the tumbler between white prints if its going to be more than a couple days.
