Substrate for routed mounted sign

Hey guys, I have a customer who wants a custom routed shaped sign. The sign is a flat panel sign just routed to the shape of their logo. There will be a vinyl digital print applied to this sign.

What substrate and thickness would you recommend? The flat wall is stucco and the sign will be about 8' x whatever is proportionate to the height.

I am not installing this, They have a contractor for this.

Would 3mm be thick enough? Thickest my supplier has dibond in

Only other substrate they have i can think of is 1/4" alumalite

Since you're just screwing it to a wall then yeah it doesn't need to be any thicker than that. 3mm dibond is exactly what I'd use.

3mm DiBond would be fine, 3mm Max Metal would be better since its like 25 bucks cheaper.

Thanks guys,

The customer is having someone install this (don't think it's a sign company) but since i don't do installs, They are asking me what brackets and all are needed to install this sign.

Any feedback on what to tell them?

screw it to the wall

if its traditional stucco, plastic anchors will be good enough...if dryvit etc. then they may want molly bolts

make sure to use washers so the pressure is spread out from the screw head to last longer

Ive started just using wafer head screws - wider top with a lower profile
