We are due to upgrade our rip software. We have been using Onyx for 5 years now. have version 6.5 and are going to upgrade. We are looking to maybe get a new design software with less programs to do a print/ cut job start to finish. Hes what we do right now.
Use Gerber composer 2.6 w/ gsp plot for small decals to our edge/ envision. we do some designing from scratch then save as eps. to go to illy, add color and cut. We dont know alot about illy, so not much designing in here, we use finecut for out put of cuts from a printed job. we use gsp plot for just cut vinyl on our mimaki cutter. we use CS4 for alot of designing with effect, and photos. We use Onyx for our rip for printing to mimaki.
It just seems like a lot of steps and programs to out put a print/cut job. We are wondering if there is some better softwares to use with mimaki printer/plotter. all suggestions appreciated.
