Summa S2 erratic movements

I've had a Summa S2 Tangental 62" now for about 3 years. This machine is so frustrating, I want to throw it out of the window. We've always struggled on longer cuts with this machine, it will not track straight now matter how perfect it's loaded. What's the most frustrating thing about it is how erratic it's movements are too, it will start a cut, then stop, go all the way to the end of the sheet, then go back to where it stopped (now not in the same place because it just went 20 or 30 feet to check something, I don't know what). It does this sort of things and I don't understand why. Anyone else with the same issues? I have turned off Auto Load, and selected Media Optimization movements, but what else could be causing this?

Make sure your pinch wheels and grit rollers are as clean as possible. This can make a huge difference in accuracy. I use slightly diluted Isopropyl and dollar-store tooth brushes to scrub them clean.

Erratic movements come from your data/driving software.(given the unit works as it should)
Tracking needs to be analyzed. (Marks on the vinyl backing need to be clean, not "chewed")
I had some units, where I needed to replace the drive drum. This has to be done during warranty by a certified engineer.
Lamenting doesn't work...

Make sure the grit rollers are clean. I use a dampened towel with adhesive remover to wet the roller then let it sit. The I use a small nylon brush to brush the adhesive away. Then clean the rubber rollers with iso as mentioned above. Make sure the entire platen that the vinyl touches is free of adhesive build up as well. In flexi, you can tell the plotter where to start and end cutting so it doesn't go back and forth like that. I'm not sure what RIP you're using but look for that setting.
