After reading Marlene's post about the isnow storms up there, I would just like to add that Queensland is now facing the biggest Tropical Cyclone to ever hit Queensland. It is much bigger than Katrina and has wind volume larger than 300km/h at the eye. Combined with king tides this is going to really do some damage in the next couple of hours.

Most people have been evacuated from hospitals to the south where I am but not everyone can escape. It is a very eeerie feeling with the humidity so high and the air so still just waiting.

prayers to all in harms way... hope that force can somehow dispel it's energy without the level of destruction it is capable of...

I saw the TV reports of all the snow falling over 20 states! WOW! The world weather really has gone crazy.
Thanks for the concerns, but I am way down south of it near Brisbane. A baby girl was born in the early hours of this morning in a Cairns evacuation centre. Damage reports are still coming in and there has been no deaths anywhere which is good, because they were able to give people so much warning beforehand.

you will see the latest here. The only bad thing to happen now is that it will turn into a tropical depression and dump tons of rain inland which is the last thing the country needs.

Hoping something good will come, have been reading online and watching the news about the flooding also. The Australia zoo is so awesome with their hospital.
