Temp files go away!!!!!

I just started noticing that whenever I open a JPG from an e-mail (windows live mail) it creates a temp file in my recycle bin.
I can delete them but man is this annoying.
I've searched and searched for a solution, but can't find one.
Has anyone ever encountered this?
If so were you able to fix it?

I've been using System Mechanic for some time now.
It has an incinerator feature for the recycle bin. Once deleted, the file is history. Overwritten..deleted to military standard xxxx whatever. It's gone.

Every few weeks I click Start and type: %Temp% Hit enter and Windows will list all temp files, select all and delete.

Thanks Neal - I'll have to try that.
But I still can't figure out why Windows Live Mail keps putting temp files in my recycle bin.
