Text editing plugin

Is there a good text editing plug-in for Illustrator that allows you to easily add effects to text, shape them, etc.?

You can do any effect you can dream of in Illustrator, you just have to learn the program more thoroughly. Any plugin you might stumble on is probably going to be hokey.

+1 for flame ... you can so ridiculously much in Illy its insane ... just ask what effect you are going for and someone on here can probably tell you exactly how to achieve it

Ok, thanks a lot. I'm just learning it....I need just to add basic 3D effects to the text. I tried the exclude and bevel but just can't get the effect I'm wanting. Thanks.
