Text issues in Flexi...

I really need to figure this out...

In Flexi 7.6v2, when I type in a line of text everything looks fine.

Then I click off and select it again, the text thins out, compresses and adds wide kerning.

But the red selection outline shows the original.

Then when I "convert to outlines" it will convert to the red select line.

Which looks correct, but I don't want to have to "convert to outlines" just to see it correctly.

Anyone know what's happening here?

Edit->Preferences->Tools->Text Tool
and uncheck "Smooth edges of screen fonts"

Hmmm. Why does flexi always look jaggy though? The text copy looks crappy on the screen, looks fine when cut or exported to jpg etc.

Thats been a complaint for a long time. Illustrator, Corel, and other display great text, but it had always been lacking in Flexi.

I thought they were going to work on that in the v8 release. Anyone want to comment on that who has the latest release.

Thanks bob. That has been bothering me for a long time also.
And I agree with ATX, Flexi is very unatractive screen-wise.
They need an Enhanced View, like Corel.
