A Lion, a Chimpanzee, a Giraffe, and a Squirrel, who pass by.
They decide to compete to see who is the fastest to get a banana off the tree.

Who is to say someone didn't put the banana there for the test? A coconut tree doesn't have branches like a banana tree does, so the Lion wouldn't be able to climb it nearly as easily. The chimp either - not being able to swing from branch to branch, which leaves the squirrel and the giraffe. Depending on the height of the tree, the giraffe might not be able to reach it, leaving the squirrel's ability to run up the side of the tree as the safe bet.

(Yeah, I was a moron, and didn't notice it said coconut either)

well my chimp had just swung over to the coconut tree from a banana tree... and having brought the banana with him, he knew right were he hid it in the coconut tree, and therefor was the first to reach it when the lion roared "go"... which is why i win.

so, I just decided a gorilla would take down the whole tree in no time (assuming this was coconuts we were after, due to skimming...
