this thread is to allow signs101'ers, that are not able to attend the SGIA New Orleans show, to submit general requests for specs, photos, movies (shot on phones, most likely), brochures, etc.
there will be several sign shops going to see the exact piece of equipment or software and that person is the perfect emissary to gather information on that product. they can even report back on signs101 in a "review" thread of what they learned.
in this economy we all need to stick together and do our best to keep everyone's business cranking. that said, i believe here are the basic rules that will keep the thread from becoming a mess.

submit a simple request with the exact make and model of the product but without too much background info. ie
"can someone get a close up photo of the take up system for the _____"
or
"can someone do a tape/scratch test of a coro sample from the ____"

no general chit chat in this thread. it will become a cluster&*%#% in no time.
if someone sees a particular request possibly pm that member and ask further questions so that the high jacking is kept to a minimum.
