Keep in mind this is a 50x20 room with fourteen foot ceilings and four printers,
do you have to waste the first 3-4 of the media to web it?
also, we lam EVERYTHING with gloss. will the dullness of the latex even matter at that point?
and seriously, your married. god help her.
i could have sworn i saw you at the golden tamale last week dancing to village people.
Keep in mind this is a 50x20 room with fourteen foot ceilings and four printers, and it was only when it was 110* outside.
You Jealous Holmes? I tried to go to golden Tamale last week, but you had the whole place rented out.. so tuff luck with that.
jealous. well yeah. i thought it was just us? i rented it out for you. and sadly you never showed. you must have been at the silver buritto. thanks for keeping me in the loop.
11. YES. the ink is much more durable then what comes off solvent printes.
I disagree with this one. We printed some PhotoTex a few weeks ago on the LX800. Had a fingerprint on it, so one of my installers *lightly* rubbed it with alcohol and it came right off. In the same office we have other PhotoTex murals that have been up for three years and still look brand new.
Other than that, thanks Adam!
You'll have to redo your infopost in a couple weeks when they announce the L26500..
Can't lam Phototex man! well.. at least not with cold lam.. maybe some spray lam..
And it sticks? We don't have heat assist so never tried it, but I wouldn't think it would stick..
32. That plastic roll they give you to put into the media to make it have weight is dumb too, don't use that.
.
I know i didn't include everything. So please Add on.

Great post! But... I do disagree about the "dumb" plastic rolls! If you use the winder, the rolls are essential to get the media winding smoothly. At least it does for me... Or I'm a total idiot, because if I don't use it, the media generally mucks up!!!
Also, I rarely laminate prints, and never banners! I love the finish I get right off the printer.
My 2 cents worth.

Jealous much??
What time of lam have you tried this with? I've just started playing with Phototex and have noticed how easily the ink is rubbed off after curing. (roland eco-sol max) I have some GBC thermal lam rolls lying around...I wonder if these would work?
