The media file is invalid. Avery MPI1105 Profile.

JamminSigns

Well that's not right.
Has anyone else run into this? I downloaded it directly from Roland. All the specs are right for what I am running.

When I try to import the file it says "The media file is invalid".

The same error if I use "Add media from the internet" directly in VersaWorks.

Edit: tried the profile from Avery's site and same deal. Not 1 Avery profile works for me. Arlon & 3M load just fine.

Well that's not right.
I have been using PCV4: Premium Cast Vinyl on my older Roland for quite some time so I agree that's a great profile but am I
going to limit myself as that profile is only available for the CMYK ink set.

Also, it has a maximum of 8 passes; the new CMYKcmOG profiles have double that, with 16 passes. It seems that might restrict quality.

Is there a nice CMYKlmOG profile similar to the RolandDGA CMYK one?

I just installed the Avery 1105 profile onto my versa works.
VG3
CMYK Lk Or Gr
no issues

Well that's not right.
Different ink setup though.

CMYK Light black Or Gr

I am using CMYK Lmagenta Lcyan Or Gr

thought it was advised to only use profiles that match your ink setup.

Plus that confuses me because Green and Light black are in the same tray. Yet that profile has both?

Edit: tried the profile you linked and it even reports it as so, cannot be used with the ink type of the current printer settings.
