have staff on the order desk thank actually know about the products they are selling!! I can't tell you how many times i've asked a question about which product would be best for a certain application, only to hear "i dunno"

exactly!!!!

nothing worse than lack of product knowledge and then the "I will call you back with info" and it never comes.

How about ordering something off a colour chart they supplied only to be told that it will take 3 weeks to get in. This of course after you spent time with a customer to choose a colour that no other mfg has...

Who in the sign business is waiting 3 weeks...please tell me!!!

I had a vendor go out of their way to deliver some ink to me when we were in a bind once.. and I mean our sales rep took the afternoon off and drove 3 hours each way just to bring me a box of ink.
