I still stand by my comment on the original post. My 5 min job is by far the crappiest of the bunch. I didn't do a very good job of polishing my turd.
Congrats on some of the nice layouts, even though they have those terrible fonts. There are some nice and creative designs there.

My car out of HS was a 62 Impala, same color as #6. Only mine was a rag top. Paid $400 for it and it was sharp. Had 4 on the floor and the top worked.. I had it a few months and got in a bad accident with it. Im glad the guy that went through the windshield wasnt hurt too bad.

Nice Turd polishing folks! lol.

IMHO, thumb nail size is PERFECT for grading the designs. The smaller scale makes it fairly easy to see which "turd designs" succeeded and which ones didn't polish quite as well. My vote for the best design went to design #10. Design 10 contains nice creativity while mainting legibility at a distance which is exactly what we as outdoor advertising professionals strive to acheive.

Contest/Design Off Idea
With all the drama around here lately I thought it would be fun to try something that could remind us of the things that we do agree on. Like how all caps Old English looks like crap, or how we hate to see brush script on a semi. So in the spirit of comradery and fun, I thought we should have a design contest or something similer. To see who can come up with the best design using those elements of design we hate. Like script on an arch, or red on black or what ever. Let’s see what the designers on Signs101 are made of.
