Did you try cleaning the rollers in case some chemicals from the bad media contaminated them?

Seems if the ink goes on heavy in 1440 mode it doesn't happen at all. Its only when the colors are a pastel or light. Its also inconsistent, throughout the day it would come and go.. some times it actually vanished.
